Forest Museum

The western region of Ukraine is the most arboreous (32 percent) part of the country. It is here that the main forest resources are concentrated - more than 40 percent of the forest fund. Our region is distinguished by unique picturesque landscapes, unique natural corners, rich in natural resources. The influence of forests of the region as water protection, protective and climate regulating factors extends hundreds of kilometers around and is felt even in the steppe regions of Ukraine. One of the main places in relation to the afforestation belongs to the Rivne region. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Forest Museum they decided to create, it is a unique not only for the region but also for Ukraine Similar institutions, where in one place were collected exhibits that represent the history of forests from ancient times until now we have not yet been.

The museum has open expositions that tell about the history of forest development, forestry industry of Ukraine and Rivne region in particular. Here you can get acquainted with famous scientists and figures who have made an invaluable contribution to forest conservation and forest development. Also you will see collections of flora and fauna of Rivne region, samples of folk crafts related to the forest, and in plans to restore the house of the forester of the beginning of XX century. The territory around the museum is a kind of recreation area, one of the favorite places of local residents, because there is a playground with slides for entertainment, an ecological path is laid.

Near the Museum you can also buy products made by folk craftsmen.

Park complex “Forest Museum” invites everyone to have an interesting and pleasant time among nature. It is located in a convenient location on the highway “Rivne-Sarny” in a picturesque corner of the majestic forest.
